Meet the maker

Hi, I’m Hugo owner of The Buckingham Distillery. Formerly known as Bucks Brothers Gin, I purchased the business from its original founders after discovering it with my family. I’d grown up immersed in football, playing at a high level across England and the U.S., chasing the dream of going pro. But by the time I turned 19, I realised that dream wasn’t going to become a reality and that’s when a new ambition took hold, building something of my own.

That moment marked the start of my entrepreneurial journey. After a lot of thought (and a fair bit of convincing my parents), I took the leap and bought the business. The learning curve was steep everything from production to branding but I’ve loved every minute of it, and I continue to learn more every single day. I’m excited about the road ahead and can’t wait to share the journey with you as The Buckingham Distillery continues to grow.
